The Iliff School of Theology has an opening for the position of Director
of Alumni Relations. This position is an integral part of the fast-paced, Institutional
Advancement department, has a large degree of autonomy, and makes decisions
independently within the framework of the department. The director is responsible
for planning, directing and implementing activities that build greater alumni
awareness, interest, involvement and giving; conducting the annual fund campaign
including direct mail solicitations; developing a volunteer base for the Alumni
Association; supporting the Alumni Association Board; and engaging the church

Clinical Pastoral Education, VA Hospital, Denver (posted 10/01/08)
A twenty four (24) week Extended Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the
Denver Veterans Administration Hospital will commence November 11, 2008 and
continue through May 24th, 2009. Six cpe students will be selected for this
new cpe
program
site.
Applications are being received for these six chaplain intern positions as
of September 20th.
The following applicant qualifications will apply:
- M.Div. degree or equivalent
- Ordained or ecclesiastically endorsed
- Willingness to take one night on-call
per week
- Willingness to commit 12 hours per week to patient visitation
- Willingness
to attend one four hour weekly cpe seminar on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m.

Interviews for cpe candidate selection will be conducted in the VAMC Chaplain’s
Office on the dates of October 28, 29, and 30th on a scheduled basis.

Lakewood, Colorado.

Director of Christian Education, Lakewood UCC (posted 9/25/08)
HOURS: Part-time (20 hours per week)
STATUS: Exempt
SALARY: $16,000 annually
REPORTS TO: Pastor in consultation with the Christian
Education (CE) committee
POSITION PURPOSE: To support and promote the goals of LUCC’s Christian
education ministry for all ages from Pre-K to adult in an open and affirming
environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Primary responsibility for the coordination of Christian education
with emphasis on children and youth.
- Must work Sunday mornings
- Attend all Christian Education Committee meetings,
most Church Council meetings, and weekly Minister/staff meetings at the
church
- Be
present at Christian Education sponsored events, classes, and youth activities
as needed.
- Comply with all church and administrative policies, including
management of the Christian education budget (with input of the CE committee),
and Safe
Church
Policy, training, and tracking.
- Planning, organizing, volunteering,
and attending Summer Vacation Bible school with the support of the CE
committee.
REQUIREMENTS
- Biblical knowledge and Christian education experience.
- The ability to understand,
develop, and implement curriculum.
- Experience with volunteers and young
people.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience or related degree
- Strong organizational skills, task orientation,
and ability to delegate
- Demonstrated success in developing youth programming.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Shared office, phone, and administrative support provided at the church.
- Energy
level to support children through adult levels in various church
or Christian education activities.
