The Rocky Mountain Conference in cooperation with the Fellowship
of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts, Christ Church United
Methodist, and Cokesbury Music Service, sponsored the third annual

United Methodist Church in Denver. Musicians attended from as far
away as Phoenix, Arizona, Casper, Wyoming, and Grand Junction,
Colorado. The Keynote speaker Kevin Bogan,
Director of Traditional and Blended Music
at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City, and
President-Elect of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music & Worship
Arts spoke
about self-care for church musicians, giving examples from his own
life and work.
The Saturday music reading session covered 36 choral
works in an hour and 45 minutes, giving the participants an introduction
to a wide range of music, ranging from fun children's choir music
to challenging adult pieces. Musicians attended 3 hour-long workshops
out of 9 offered.
