Second Report of Church Tithe

Greetings from the Conference Treasurer’s Office. Here is an update of your efforts at the local level in administering the Tithing program. Along with this narrative, you will find the detailed Tithing report, by church, along with a graph depicting our conference revenue position.

The February tithing (as reported in March) Adjusted Gross Income resulted in an overall downward trend from February 2007 of $ 43,745 as shown below:

On a year-to-date basis through February for the comparative two-month period, the shortfall is $ 28,751. We have received 95.5% of last year to date apportionment level giving.

The above figures do not include the “Second Mile” Giving; which is intended to cover any shortfalls during the first two years of this Tithing conversion.

Taking into account this “Second Mile” component, our year to date increase over 2007 year to date is $ 25,603.

This year shows a significant improvement in participation.
